This shake recipe is life-changing. When we added in a little extra cocoa powder for a kick, we were thinking about its health benefits — flavanols and polyphenols that have been credited with the ability to do amazing things, from lowering blood pressure to fighting damage on a cellular level. Yes, we’re food science nerds, OK?
But then when we dropped a couple of tablespoons of almond butter into the mix, it brought our humble little shake to new and glorious heights. Give this one a try only if you’re ready to declare yourself a Supergut-aholic.
Time: 2 Minutes
- 1 Serving – Supergut Chocolate or Supergut Vegan Chocolate
- 12 oz – Unsweetened Almond Milk or Water
- 2 Tbsp – Unsweetened Almond Butter
- 2 Tbsp – Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (Hershey’s)
- 1 cup – Ice
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy.
